I use a $30 USB sound card with my $60 x530's, does that count? :p

The sound card is decent, nothing high end, it's the Philips Aurilium.

I use the discontinued Creative SoundBlaster Mp3+. It has optical and analog rca outputs. You can still find them on ebay!

Haha I used to use the creative sound blaster mp3+ as well. It is quite decent if you use the optical outputs. I bought it when it was 70 bucks :(. Better than my built in sound though. Oddly enough, the drivers for it on the cd that came with it support CMSS. But if you use the latest drivers for it from creative, the feature isn't even in there.
