We use a trackball mouse and love it. Looking to buy a new one for the new notebook (see below) and have been looking at the wireless trackball mouse from Logitech. Anyone used this one? Does it work with Vista?

I'd also like to have the finger trackball, but not sure they work with Vista ? There are a couple different versions, anyone know which is best?

You can check Logitech's website to see if the mouse will work with Vista. I'm pretty positive it will work, even if the site doesn't explicitly say this. The Vista compatibility probably deals with drivers that get the extra features to work (if it has anything of the sort).

On a side note, care to share why you still use trackball mice? Have you tried a laser mouse? I haven't used a trackball in years (5-6ish?) haha.

I love trackballs because you don't have to move them to use them (uses less space). Like using my fingers to move the mouse instead of moving my whole hand etc. I hate moving a regular mouse. The trackball is so smooth and fluid.

I won't use a regular mouse again after using trackballs.

I feel the same way about trackballs, but unfortunately they have dwindled down. The last trackball I used was the Logitech cordless trackman optical and it was so uncomfortable. My thumb would be sore after moderate use; very poor placement of the clicker button.

Are you talking about this one:

That's the one I'm thinking of getting? Are there other cordless trackballs?

I ordered the Logitech cordless yesterday. It's the same format as the one I have now, ball to right side with the main fingers over the ball, which I prefer. I currently have a Microsoft trackball explorer 1.0 and like it. It's getting old though and doesn't want to register as usable on the current notebook every so often. So, need to upgrade.

The Logitech cordless seems to be the only one with that same type of styling. Plus I like that its cordless.

I don't care for the Kensington trackballs. Not enough buttons and no scroll wheel.
