I've been searching the net for the best possible cooling pad which would fit and cool down my XPS M1530 as much as possible...The only thing I could fine was....so many different opinions.....

So, I decided to make a pole to be able to see the opinion of the community as one.

Please vote for the best cooling pad which would fit an M1530, regardless of the price....just look at quality and efficiency.

    Ty

    :)

    {I will add other Cooling pads to the poll options if you ask for it}

Zalman's are the best overall performers, although CM Infinite is close.

Although I love the Zalman, I would have to go for the Notepal.

I use a Zalman NC2000, but if the NZXT Cryo LC was available in the UK... that's what I'd have bought (and still would) - no question... hence why I've voted for it, rather than the NC2000

zalman makes great fans and cases for desktops so i'm sure their notebook coolers are top quality.

    lol so very true.

i have a nzxt cryo lx for my m1530 so i voted for that =)

best lookin one to me. i ordered it in brushed alum & black to match my m1530 perfectly. has so much space for me to move my laptop around and still get plenty of cooling surface. only down side would be, its not as transportable. its pretty big and heavy for a cooler =P

has anyone done a comparison with the nzxt cyro lx vs zalman nc1000/2000?

i dont own a xps 1530, but i feel i can definitely say that the nzxt cryo lx is one heck of a cooler. it does a tremendous job of cooling my p6860FX

tell me about it. i paid 90 for it with shipping (i ordered it from newegg while i was over in s. korea) but for the temps that it keeps my laptop at, it was a justifiable purchase.

if your satisfied with it, then yep its justifiable.

TBH tho i think the zalman would of done the job too, but w/e you got the nzxt and your happy with it.

at the time, i had a toshiba x205-s9800 and the intakes were towards the very back of the laptop. i didnt think the zalman would be a feasible option for it, with the air directed more towards the front of the laptop.

I'm thinking of getting a cooler..the zalman looks nice..but I dont understand why the NC2000 is so popular even tho it does not vent the main intake on the m1530...

does anybody use the enermax or cryo have pics with the 1530 on it? ..don't see much about the enermax..it seems like a insane cooler

i'll have to wait a few days to take a pix with the m1530 on the cryo LX. i can put my 14' satellite on the cooler and take a pix for u if u want a general idea. i personally think this is the best cooler for the m1530. (3) giant 120mm fans has enough power to cover the whole surface area of the cryo LX (minus the front fold part). the big surface area and fan placement is great for almost any laptop cuz u can just move yur notebook around to get optimal cooling and STILL not hang off the cooler.

i got mine for $70-80 BNIB shipped from ebay. just make sure to ONLY buy from power sellers. bottom line is: to me, the zalman nc1000/2000 cannot compare to my cyro LX in looks and function. fan placement is perfect for the laptops with vents in the middle and back. if u happen to have a vent/fan towards the front. all u have to do is push yur laptop farther back and problem solved =). if u want a bad ass lookin cooler, and dont really care for portability, this thing is it.

thanks. yeah i basically leave my laptop on the desk the majority of the time so i dont care for portability. cant wait to see the pics! :)

I'm also in the market for a cooler for my m1530 and i keep hearing its either the zalman NC2000 or the NZXT Cryo LX.... im leaning more towards the cryo as of now, since the fan placement is much better, but im still interested to hear arguments for both sides.

the cryo LX will be better than the nc1k/2k in just about every aspect, except portability. u can even use the cryo LX on soft surfaces when u fold the front piece under. if u are usin the cooler as a stationary unit on yur desk, and not worried with portability, then the cryo is what u'r lookin for.

the only thing the zalman will be better at is portability. i've heard they're also very quiet, but the cryo is quiet to me as well.

Out of those coolers in the poll the Zalman NC2000 but it's definitely not the best Zalman cooler.

I use the Zalman NC1500 with my 1530. Works great, not noisy, and dishes out a lot of cool air.
