With Christmas coming up, I've decided to ask for a TV Tuner card for my laptop. Now, I wouldn't trust my parents to choose an adequate one for me, so I started researching myself. Then I realized that I had no idea what I was doing. I'm looking for one that has standard coaxial cable support for NTSC as well as possibly an FM tuner. I'm looking for something around $75 or so. Any suggestions?

Hauppauge seems to make some good ones.

I have the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR950 USB tv tuner. It works pretty well however the picture quality I got on it was no where as good as what I got from using the built in tuner on my LCD monitor. Might be because of weak signal in a dorm.

    AverMedia Volar Max is good

@lixuelia.... my Volar Max is way better than my friend's 15" Insignia LCD HDTV..... picks up all 6 channels in the nearby 5-mile radius, while my friend's LCD cannot even pick up one using the same antenna
