I'm sitting on the floor. My laptop is on the floor on top my fan. I'm rubbing my foot on the floor with socks on and I'm getting shocked through my earphones. Every time I move my foot or some other movements.

What in the world? This doesn't happen normally. Is it the earphones itself? Bad design?

edit - Also, the audio plays when I get a shock. The audio when you remove something from your usb port. My earphones are not usb though.

I've had this happen to me in the last year for the first time. In my case it was only this one set of earphones which were cheap and I figured poorly made. It does feel really odd getting those shocks straight into your ear like that.
