    Ive looked over google, but can anyone provide me with

    SigmaTel high Definition codec drivers?

    I've stopped using the Sigmatel drivers... I just use the Vista built-in sound drivers... works fine. I think the sound is better with Windows' built-in drivers too... although that could be due to other factors since I reinstalled Windows. I'm not going to re-install the Sigmatel drivers to double-check.

    Also, my system is much more stable since I got rid of unnecessary third-party drivers like that. Although I don't know which specific drivers are to blame for the crashes I used to have.

    So my advice is... just go into device manager and uninstall your outdated drivers.

    However, if after reading all that, you still really want the Sigmatel drivers, you should be able to get them from your OEM's website. For example: http://support.dell.com/support/dow...=LATITUDE+D630&hidos=WW1&hidlang=en&TabIndex=
    I don't know if those will work on other computer makes/models or not.
