    Hey,
I know a lot of the users here are college students. Have any of you ever gotten a slingbox so you could watch TV off at school without buying a TV and service there?

My wife will be going to the University of Birmingham in England for a year and I was thinking this might be a good option for her to watch TV.

I could hook it up at our house with the DVR and she could watch TV in England without buying a TV (which we couldn't really use when she comes back since it wouldn't be NTSC but PAL) and paying the $275.00 or so a year to own a TV over there.

Also, if you have used a slingbox are the differences only inputs or is one model more efficent and clearer?

Maybe this was too specific has anyone used a slingbox over any long distance before?
