    has anyone here actually watched tv on their notebook by using a slingbox? more importantly abroad? does it lag even if its on a good connection? :confused:

    the issue isn't lag, the issue is the speed you can downstream. Also, you need to remember you have to upstream on the Slingbox end. I have successfully streamed at about 300-400kbps on a 2mb cable modem in Singapore. Of course it varies day to day and the time of day, depending on bandwidth on both ends.
