i have a sony a240 (14 x 1.8 x 10.9). I was looking at the ogio manipulator and an ibooq sleeve; I am a student. I was wondering if anyone has used a sleeve before and what they thought of it. Just sticking the laptop in a sleeve, then putting it in a backpack...that ok? Or do you guys think it's just better to get a bag? I figure I'd been my wireless mouse and the ac/plug with me for the most part...but I could always throw it in my backpack...or is that bad?
I like the versatility of the sleeve, but I'm just not sure if I'd be missing too much without a bag.

    Thanks.

If you get a notebook backpack, they're padded enough so you don't need the sleeve, unless you want the extra protection. The sleeve is also nice if you want to take the notebook somewhere without the entire pack. I have both and it sounds like you might benefit from the same.

Would you recommend the Booq Powersleeve and the Vyper or just one of the two?

    I have a standard backpack....

I have a sleeve that goes inside a padded pouch of a notebook back. I think the combo is best, but a protective sleeve should be sufficient. I like the product from Sumdex, www.sumdex.com

I haven't used the shinza, but it reads like it's the same thing.

Is that Sumdex sleeve the same thing or similar as the sleeve from shinza.com?

The Vyper is a very nice hard-formed nylon shell case, but it has virtually no padding inside.

The Sumdex is nice but the only option is the Widescreen 15 inch. There will be a gap inside...

Has Anyone tried this bag from www.radioshack.com ? I haven't bought anything of any use from Radio Shack in 20 years...
