So after reading quite a few of the reviews and posts here i've narrowed down my search to these laptop sleeves. I'm leaning towards the Sumdex because of it's narrow size.

    brain cell - size2
    14.125 × 12 × 2.25 inches (360 × 305 × 57 mm) int
    14.5 × 13.375 × 3 inches (368 × 340 × 76 mm) ext

    sumdex - impactguard 15.4"
    15" W x 12" H x 1.5" D int
    15.75" W x 12.5"H x 1.75" D ext

    rei e-wrap medium
    14.25 x 11.25 x 1.8 in. (int/ext?)

According to acer's specs my laptop is 14.3" W x 10.5" D x 1.2" - 1.4" H. I'm worried that both the brain cell and sumdex sleeves are 12" D. Would the 1.5" significantly lower the amount of protection the sleeves offer? Thanks

**edit** also does anyone know what kind of padding the Rei has?
