I am looking for a laptop sleeve that i can put into my messenger bag. I want to put atleast 1 or 2 folders and 1 book aswell so i want something with good protection.

    I have an hp zv5000v Dimensions - 14.375'' x 11.25'' x 2''.

I narrowed it down to 3 and wondering other peoples opinions. Which would have the best protection & what would you choose? Also i measured 14.375'' but the inner for tombihn is 14.125. Do you think it will fit? I am leaning towards tom bihn.

    1. Tom Bihn - Hardsided Protection: Brain Cell Size 2 ($50)
    interior - 14.125'' x 12'' x 2.25''
    exterior - 14.5'' x 13.375'' x 3''

    link: http://www.tombihn.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=TB0300&Category_Code=300&Product_Count=0

    2. Timbuk 2 - Laptop Grip Sleeve ($50)
    interior - 14'' x 11.5'' x 2''
    exterior - 14'' x 12.5'' x 2.75''

    link: http://www.timbuk2.com./tb2/catalog/productlisting.t2?priceSizeId=29&skuSetIdStr=46&categoryId=21

    3. Sumdex Neo Metro Transit II grey ($40)
Actually a little bulky looking, exterior size = too big i think.
    interior - 14.5'' x 11.25'' x 2.25''
    exterior - 16.5'' x 13'' x 2.5''

    hp zv5000v Dimensions - 14.375'' x 11.25'' x 2''. (15.4'' WIDESCREEN)

    straight from shinza's website

"Large" dimensions (please measure your notebook and compare to interior figures!)
    Exterior (W x D x H): 15.0 x 1.0 x 13.0 inches (380 x 25 x 330 mm)
    Interior (W x D x H): 13.8 x 1.8 x 11.4 inches (350 x 45 x 290 mm)

ANYONE WITH A SHINZA..WILL MY LAPTOP FIT? I KNOW THE INTERIOR SIZE IS SMALLER BUT NOT THAT MUCH SMALLER..I MAY HAVE MEASURED ABIT INACURATE BUT NOT BY THAT MUCH. IS THE SHINZA STRETCHABLE OR SOMETHING IS THE ACTUAL SIZE ABIT LARGER? NEED INFO FROM PEOPLE WHO OWN A SHINZA.

I own a 15" medium sleeve for my Dell i600m. Although my laptop is smaller than the sleeve, I know for a fact that the sleeve can stretch quite a bit. The question is just how much you want the sleeve to be stretched out. I am completely 100% satisfied with my ZeroShock.

The Dell 700m has dimensions larger than the small zeroshock sleeve.. and it fits... so yours is only slightly larger than the dimensions too.. should be snug.

I believe there's a wire mesh embedded into the foam for protection.
So that should be the limit.

I'll post up when I get the 15" in next week and review the strechiness of it for you.

    Hold tight ;)

Fusion: the Sumdex sleeve should do the trick. I just purchased the Acer TM8104 and I'm trying to find out if anyone makes a "sleeve +"..I want it light but just a little room for a legal folder, etc.

    I think it measures 14.2 x 10.75 x 1.25

    Is my "sleeve+" out there?

I will carry this and not insert into another bag!

    Pacaya,

    Is your computer a 15.4 " widescreen?

I personally like the shoreline case which allows you to work right out of the sleeve www.shorelinecases.com

    HERE'S ONE THAT FITS 15.4"!!!

I went and bought a neoprene sleeve today. I got the CaseLogic sleeve NCLE2, check it out at

    http://www.caselogic-intl.com/cgi-bin/sgsh01b6.exe?SKW=Intl-computer-notebook-lifestyle&FNM=22&UID=2005022115263273

It stretches quite well, and even though the size of my laptop is technically too big, it fits perfect - snug - but perfect. The size of my notebook is:

    364 (W) x 279 (D) x 33.9/38.9 (H) mm
    (14.3 x 11.0 x 1.3/1.5 inches)

in my opinion, you could even fit a notebook bigger than mine. (not much wider though).

So, thats a good alternative if you want a lite, snug sleeve for your 15.4" notebook.
