    SD card vs SD Netbook card

    I go to Staples and bougth San Disc 16GB SD card for netbook for 49$ (20$ sale).Same SD card is 79$ no sale so thats why I pick SD Netbook card.They say it will work same as other SD cards.

    I get back home and this card not work in my camera and on new laptop 8940G
    But this 16GB SDHC work on my father cheap Compaq laptop

    !!!

    Maybe your camera doesn't support SDHC or support SDHC cards with such high capcity. Either way , both SD cards will not work in your camera.The 2 sd cards are the same.

    I just find out that this 16GB also not work on my laptop
    but on my father cheap compaq laptop is working


    device menager say that card reader is working and my old SD 2GB is working
    but this new 16 GB SDHC NETBOOK card not work

    Any info on this ?

    Then your notebook probably does not support SDHC only SD

    Yes, although most SD cards on PC's and such can be updated to SDHC via firmware. But on things such as cameras then its just what it is.

    Yep, I'm pretty sure 4GB and up is SDHC, and 2GB and below is regular SD.

    Why is it garbage? SDHC cards are great, its just your notebook cannot read them.

    why my new 1400$ i7 laptop can't read this?
    also my cameras can't read this


    my father old cheap compaq read without problems

    can someone explain this to me? newer laptop should read newer cards.yes or no ?

    Did you update your card reader's firmware/drivers, as suggested earlier?
