What Mice/MP3 Players would you guys recommend? The MP3 Player would mostly be playing songs from the Metal/Hard Rock genre, if that matters. I also want the following things on it, but if I can't get it all, then that's okay.
1) 4GB or higher.
2) Affordable.
3) Good music quality.
4) Fit in my pocket.
5) Doesn't break easily.
6) Plays video and holds photo's.
And here's what it needs to be able to do:
1) Must be Black.
2) Must work with Windows XP.
3) Somewhat easy to use.
4) Good costumer service/warranty.
5) Screen.
iPods are fine, I ruled them out because they're all over $150 except for the Shuffle, and I want a screen, and I don't want a 2GB Nano.
And, just wondering; What's a good Mouse for a gamer? The game I play the most that's Online is AdventureQuest Worlds, if that helps. And games like Nancy Drew, and other computer games. I'd like one that has these things:
1) Wireless.
2) Laser/ball-less.
3) 3 buttons on it (Right/left click, and a scroller)
Thanks!

In fact, I had intentions of buying the 30GB model but decided against it, and went with an older Vision:M off eBay instead. Personally, I can't stand iPods for music, as I feel that their music reproduction just sounds terrible.

I personally don't care for wireless myself, (I'm a wired guy, keyboards included) as I can detect lag when the proveribal crap hits the fan, but that's just me.

How about a flash based Zune? I think they are really nice looking, I may go that route with my next MP3 player purchase.
Do you want a notebook mouse or a regular mouse? If notebook try the VX Nano. For regular mouse, go for the MX Revolution. -
I have a Windows XP, so just a regular mouse.
Well, I want a Wireless mouse, but I have a Ativa mouse, and I HATE it, it's Wireless/Laser, but it dies constantly, and takes a long time to charge. Maybe I should just get a Wired one.
And I was thinking something more like, under $100 or so. (For the MP3)

Check out the Sony mp3 players. Since you're planning to use photos and video as well as music, you might prefer the larger-screen ones like the A726.
Sony's whole line is pretty good though. Here's a deal on one with a smaller (2") screen... still good though: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs...10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665224909 -

For mp3 player I'd go with the D2, I've had the zen and it just doesn't compare in any aspect except for screen and UI. That being said the screen on the D2 isn't bad, its just not the best like the one on the zen. And I personally don't have any problem with the UI on the D2. Its the same res as the zen, plays the same video codecs, more audio codecs, better sound quality, better battery life, more features(dictionary, calculator, flash, note pad). And the SD expansion is actually integrated, unlike the zen.

The Zune is freakin' awesome. I just got an 80GB model on sale because I got fed up with iTunes and my 160GB iPod Classic. The Zune beats the iPod in sound quality, software functionality/speed , firmware/update backwards compatibility, and features. The only thing that sucks is the battery life. Other than that it is killer. -
How well is the Zune software to manage your music? iTunes is bloated but I like the way it organizes my music. I guess I am stuck in my ways, but I would like to go with a Zune maybe for Christmas.
-
You can download the Zune software for free and try it out if you like. No Zune hardware required.
-
The Zune software allows you to select folders for it to monitor. Whenever a song is added into one of the monitored folders, it's automatically put into your Zune Software's library.
This is what really made me a zune software lover. No having to drag anymore into dumb itunes -

But WMP does not, oddly enough, work with the Zune. -

For $135, you can get a Black 8GB Zune at Amazon.
Black 8GB Zune
For $165, you can get the All-Black 16GB Zune at Amazon.
16GB Zune
I prefer the latter, just because it has a larger capacity and it looks better. I have a 120GB Zune, so I am a big fan of the all-Black color scheme.
The Zune is a really good player, no matter which one you pick. The fact that Microsoft supports the older models even when new ones are released means that you will be guaranteed the latest features in the firmware. -
-
If I had $135, I would probably get a Zune, but I think I'm gonna go with the Zen, since it's only $80.
As for a Mouse, I think I'm gonna go with the Logitech MX518, I've had problems with lag in my current Wireless Laser mouse, so that one seems good and cheap. Thanks, everyone!

Good luck with both!
