Currently looking at either the Cougar M700 or the Logitech G506 Proteus Core.

M-sized hands I think? Alternates between palm and claw depending on genre.

You mean the G502 there is no G506! I have the Logitech G502 it's amazing. One of the best mice I've owned. It's size and shape are also perfect for my hand. It also has an option to tune it based on your mouspad type to give you that perfect precision no matter what mouse pad you are using.

...steelseries Kinzu or Sensei Raw? If you want something you can grip a bit, but that are still light enough to flip around while just holding it halfway across, etc. Never really agreed with them completely, but I know people with larger hands who think they're very good. ...anyway - honestly a bit curious about why people recommend the Logitech mice so much :) One thing is the double-click and unclick syndrome, and the way the grime is impossible to scrub off eventually. But do they work really well if you have long enough fingers to claw on the buttons all the way across, or something like that..?

edit: Corsair also has one model with that strange angle on the back that would work with both grip and claw.

One more vote for the Raw (have two; old and new model, both rubberised). Though prefer form factor of the (ancient) Diamondback claw-type (small, flat). Seems there's a new version out (mine's mid-2005 and IR), tempting ... maybe transplant the internals to the 2005's housing.

First thing is to unsolder all those silly lighting effect leds, but that applies to every mouse. Saves a few grams, too  . And if you want it truly great; consider swapping the buttons with silent micro-switches. These things are absolutely wonderful; no more clickies :vbcool: .

On the downside, it does sound like you have literally bought something from the adult toy store.

For that (especially alternative between palm and grip), I'd recommend a Logitech G9x (love mine). Unfortunately, those are discontinued and prices online are insane for them.
