I was wondering to those who own this mouse if the 9-programmable buttons are in convient places around the mouse. I've been trying to look up pictures of this mouse on the web, but I can't get a 360 degree view of the mouse. I want to buy one but I want to see how good it is first.

It looks like there's 2 buttons on each side, 2 under the mouse wheel, the right and left buttons, and the mouse wheel itself. That's 9, right?
I'd say it would all be good except for the buttons on the right side, if your righty, or vice versa for a lefty. -
Type in 'Razer Lachesis review' in google. They include up-close photos in reviews.
-
I just finished reading 4 reviews and I've learned that this mouse feels the same to leftys as it does to rightys, so I'm guessing there are 5 buttons on top (which u can see in the picture) 2 more on the left (which u can also see in the picture, and 2 more on the right placed exactly the same as the ones on the left

how sensitive is this mouse?? dpi is 5x than normal mouse?

Its a great mouse, im currently using one. The programmable buttons are very handy, especially when browsing the net.
Though the right/side buttons are poorly placed and hard to use. -

i tried this mouse out in the store. the shape was not for me. nice mouse, just an awkward shape in my opinion.
-
You will get used to it. Its really awkward at first, then you gradually get accustomed to its ugly shape.
-
i tried it out too and i didnt really like how it feels. i perfer the ergonomic shape of the deathadder way more tho.

Although I still own a Razer Lachesis, it now sits in a box in my closet.
The forward thumb button is located at a pretty awkward location. Since I play UT3, I need two+ thumb buttons for jumping / crouching / vertical flight controls. However, each time I press the forward thumb button, it's side-slant makes the mouse squirt forward out of my hand every time I press it. This forces me to grip the mouse harder to compensate, but this also leads to more hand fatigue. The Lachesis is a great performer, but has no ergomic shape to match.
In the end, I ended up replacing it with a G9, then Ideazon Reaper Edge, and finally an Ikari Steel Series Laser. -

I got one for my17x...yeah i know a bit soon, i decidede to start my accesories collection early lol
Anyway, after getting used to the shape and speed, found that it's a great mouse. As has been already said some of the buttons are a bit iffy to use but, on the whole a great mouse. If you use it for a week and then use your old mouse it will seem sooooo slow (",)
Just my 2p
