    hi guys,
I'm looking for a remote which can be plugged into my laptop for presentation at Uni and also at work. I saw some of the Chinese aftermarket on ebay around $30AUD. I know that HP laptop does come with one of those as optional accessory. Any recommendations for a good quality one? My laptop is Sony SZ450 and honestly I got really bad experience with aftermarket USB-related products. Thank you.

I usually use my wireless mouse. I currently have a Microsoft wireless laser mouse that has an additional zoom button on the side, which I have configured as the back button under Powerpoint (using Intellipoint driver).

There are many options, mice and dedicated presentation remotes, just google and you'll find plenty of options. Here's one combining both: Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 (Mouse, Presentation and media remote) if you have built-in Bluetooth then you don’t even need to use the dongle :) .
