    heya folks.

I am in the market to buy a foldable or with some sort of hard/soft case pouch headphones that can bear the strength of frequented movement.

I initially had a altech lansec the base model, but it has fallen apart because of my frequent taking in and out of my school bag :(

So i need a headphone that can withstand abuse of frequent in and out, that can be stored so the wires do not get damaged....

like the example: sennheiser PX100. but expensive, i am looking for under $30.

    thanks

I can fold my Ultrasone HFI-780's but they're to expensive to try and abuse. I had some PX100's and I'd say they are very nice for the price. I used my PX100's for 2 years of putting them and out of my bad a minimum of two times a day and they held up for that, I gave them away and they're still working(coming up around 4 years old).

I have had the SONY MDRV700 headphones for 7 years. They still work like I first bought them. They fold up nice and they are the most comfortable headphones I have ever used. I am sure they are cheaper now, but they were around $200 when I bought them. There might be better ones out there now, but these are the best ive ever seen or used. :)

    Are you opposed to earbuds?

They are much easier to move around with.

@ Syndrome - thanks for the review of px100 if nothing else i will get those, they are still for 40+ despite being so old....

@ Snowm0bile - SONY MDRV700 - yeap looks good but way out of my budget :(

@ jooooeee - yeah my ears are not symmetrical or earbuds friendly, they do not stick and those rubbers ones irritate me :(

    ===================

any other headphones with cases and all?

Ah Im sorry about that, I didnt see you had a budget there :p

I looked up teh price for them and they sell for $85 now.

The only headphones Ive used besides those, are cheaper sony ones like mdrv300 and a whole bunch of the regular in-ear ones.

If you choose to get the in-ear headphones, I would not prefer the apple ones. Every pair Ive had, the bass blows out easily.

There is not a whole lot of ones worth buying around $30 imo.

If you have a local guitarcenter or other electronics store like best buy, I would go see what they have and try them on to see what fits best. :)

Because I had a friend who wanted some nicer headphones, and I no longer used them because I have my superior Ultrasone HFI-780's. If I was limited to that price range though, I'd most certainly get the PX100's again without a doubt.

@ Snowm0bile = thanks for the info. Will go to local store and see what they got.

@ Clutch = Thanks for the links, I saw those before, but was not sure about the sound / build quality of that company as i never heard about it before. Also they do not seem to have a case in which i could store it, they fold nicely but the wires would still hang out :(

Koss is one of the best headphone makes and for $6 you can return and get a replacement if it ever breaks.

Use the volume control on your source(PC, DAP). Or you could get a inline volume controller that you just plug into series with the headphones, but then it will be right near your source anyways.
