Why wont the PSP just die? If this thing does come out them I'm sure it will be very expensive, cause its sony. And it will hardly be able to use its own software, because it 'might' be pirated. ;)

But without innovation like this, we would never have had the cell phone.

I take it that by your signature and that comment that you don't like the PSP. :p

I won't be buying one of these though. Chances are it won't be available down under, or won't be compatible with our networks. Doesn't bother me, as I already have a PSP and a mobile phone. Neither are bulky enough that I have to worry about pocket space running out.

Though, if I didn't own one already, I would check it out. PSP, Movie Player, MP3, Mobile Phone, PDA, all in one sounds pretty neat.

This is not a PSP replacement... it's just a phone with video capabilities.

LOL why wont the nintendo DS just die? nintendo has been losing ground since it screwed up its N64 console by releasing well behind everyone else. Used to have the SNES, was a gr8 console but they lost big to the PSX cuz of their delays. I dont think Nintendo ever recovered from that, theyve been going from one mediocre machine to the next. the technology maybe good but the support is just waning.

how embarassing for them to lose to two newcomers (sony and microsoft) when theyve been around longer. the ds is once again a very nice idea but seriously lacking in worldwide popularity and many games ive seen reviewed dont seem to even use the second screen.

I have a PSP and i like the fact that i can play homebrew on it, videos, music and use the net as well as play some decent games. i wont buy a PS3 though, nor would i buy an xbox or wii (is that pronounced weeee or why lol) but its good that there is competition in the handheld genre.

as for this thing, well its an all-in-one gadget, no different than the new mp3 players that are phones (iphone) and can play video too. somehow a gaming console cannot be a phone but phones can play games, mp3, videos etc? it's all about innovation and competition, everyone's trying to grab consumers from other markets to dominate the "walkman" genre.

You know the DS is the highest selling games console out there? Followed by the Wii, then the PSP.

They are the most successful, but I just don't like the tech. I prefer to have a little power up the sleeve for more demanding titles. Plus, the PSP could browse the web and play music, which pulled me in it's direction.

And now that Killzone has online multiplayer, I have no reason to fire up CS anymore.

    Out where exactly? America?

well nintendo have been king of the handhelds for ages, i still have my old gameboy from back when they kicked sega's game gear out.

i for one just dont like the DS design, looks too much like those ancient game consoles with monochrome screens like the digital watches and yeah the graphics aint that gr8 either. the psp just has more to offer but yes it is more expensive

I personally love the PSP and loathe the DS, heck, I loathe Nintendo ever since the N64. The PSP is an awesome handheld, has great games already to boot, great widescreen, so many media abilities, all the homebrew, etc. God bless you PSP!
