I know there are several Orochi owners on this board, so I am hoping someone has had a similar issue. I just bought my Orochi, and I absolutely love it. I've been running it wired and it's amazing. After taking it to class today, I noticed a problem while connecting wirelessly. It paired fine, but it will randomly give out and won't come back on, usually unless I re-pair it, or re-connect the wire. I've tried batteries, messing with bluetooth settings, and it will still randomly give out sometimes. Anyone have any ideas/solutions?
Thanks!

I suspect this is either a driver or power profile issue with your notebook.
For the Bluetooth chip in your system - did you install specific drivers for it or did you let Windows do it (assuming you reformatted the system at some point)? Or, is this a new notebook and you are using it as it came out of the box? -
Brand new notebook, only thing i installed was the razer drivers/firmware. I'm actually downloading the newest bluetooth drivers for my machine, from the lenovo website. Hopefully this will help.

The BT drivers should definitely do the job; Windows generic Bluetooth driver have never been good, in my experience.
If that doesn't work, for whatever reason, it could be that your Bluetooth card's antenna has become loose or disconnected. If that's the case, it's an easy fix, though; just plug the antenna back in yourself.
But yeah, see if the new driver works first. -
if all has been done and you see no difference, try the mouse in other laptop/PC
if it shows the same behavior then I think you're good to RMA it -
I have the same problem with an MS 5000 anf my Sony Z. These issues thed to be a problem with the laptop's BT and not the mouse hardware. I've not found a solution as yet.

Ahh, I was so hopeful. I got the new drivers downloaded/installed. Restarted the system, and fully dc'd the mouse/re-paired it. It worked for a little while and just now is giving me troubles again. It seems like it's usually when I leave it sit for 2-3 min without using it. I almost wonder if it is because the mouse is having trouble coming back out of its low power mode? I'm going to check on my roomates rig after school to see whether its my machine, or the mouse itself.

Sorry to double post, but I think I finally found a solution. I figured maybe it will help the other guy that was having similar bluetooth issues. The problem is with the properties in the bluetooth card shutting off after not being used. To change this i went to Device Manager-> Bluetooth radios-> right-click bluetooth module-> properties-> power management tab-> and uncheck the "allow computer to shut device off to save power. Works like a charm now. Thanks for the help, hope this helps mbassoc.
