    Its not confirmed. Nothing's confirmed until Steve says so :D.

    Apple's taken down fake images before. They've also left real images up on the web as well. The new Apple Keyboard wasn't taken down, and it proved to be true.

    But yeah, that is ugly. Or at least, it shouldn't be an iPod Nano.

    Oh, and that's Engadget's own mock-up. The "real" image was taken down.

    I thought it was touchscreen, if it is then it makes sense that its like that. Touch screen for this makes very little sense except they can jack up the price. The Iphone needs the touchscreen because of all the other features and its actually usefull, the nano has so few things you can do with it that a touchscreen isn't really a great help.

    Some Mac sites made fun of Apple's "You can't be too thin. Or too powerful." slogan for the new iMacs. They said for the new chubby iPod Nanos, it'll be:

    "The new iPod Nano. You can't be too fat. Or too short." :D

    I say that short is actually good for mp3 players. I think the current Nano would benefit from being shortened a bit.

    But this new design, whether real or not, is still fat and ugly.
