Okay, I'm looking for new speakersets as my Creative is blow and getting worse every pasing party.

I have really not been any intrested in sound quality untill this year. I'm looking for something good, but don't want it to be too expensive as my bank account is allready empty because of the rebulding of my Acer.

The thing is, I'm going to have this connected permanently to my TV. My TV have a 3.5mm jack and a 3.5mm jack for audio in. So, When I'm watching TV the sound will go through the speakers and same will if I listed to music from my laptop.. Even sound from my XBox will go through this new speakers :)

So far, I have been searching a bit around and went to a shop, the problem is the guys there will always sell you the most expensive unit. The guy said for a good music experince I had to buy a Yamaha unit, oh well price tag of apox. 450 USD. I said that was way to expensive and then he suggested to keep my blow speakers. :D

    However, I have found:
    Creative 5.1 : CTT6160
    Altec Lansing VS4621 : ALTECVS4621
    Altec Lansing VS2721E : ALTECVS2721E

Price of all three is about the same.. What do you guys think?

Thanks for your time in advance..

Think in terms of audio system for speaker. Computer speaker are convenient but offer substandard to crappy sound. Purchasing speakers from computer stores is not a good habit to have.

Get you a nice set of studio monitors if you don't want the mess of needing a receiver and speakers. However, getting a standalone receiver and stereo speakers would be the best route and offer the highest quality sound. I personally prefer using older audio equipment. However, some may not want the large equipment that comes with the older stuff.

I think a lot of people forget they already have a high quality sound system in their homes; and that most laptops have media system capabilities built-in.

For those that don't, its better to just make that purchase of a receiver (which is much more versatile) than to bother with inferior computer speakers. Their only advantage (USB), is also their greatest limitation.

Okay, I've went for the Logitech z906. I've had to raise the budged a bit, but dear god it was worth it. The best best best thing is that I can have up to 3 jacks (total of 6(or 5)) diffrent input devices at the same time!!! This means I don't need to have my TV on the PC modus everytime I've want to listned to music.

The bass is shaking my entire room..

Only had it on for half an hour, had to leave for my nephews birthday party.
