I'm a happy user of a Microsoft arc touch mouse and I am using it for almost 8 months but I find it quite weird that it stays all the time on and that includes also when my notebook is turned off and that eats batteries :p almost every 2 months have to change the batteries my boss has a Logitech which turns off automatically when the system goes off why this one can't do that?I know I could just turn off physically the mouse but..I think normally when system goes off mouse goes off

Two months is a long time for batteries in a mouse. Keep an 8 pack in your desk and you're good for over a year.

And many mice have nothing to do with the system they are attached to. Does your boss have a wired mouse, perhaps? Does it come with a docking station?

Most "notebook" mice do not turn off with their system. Some desktop mice do, but not many, AFAIK.

You flatten it to turn it off and bend it to turn it on, or at least I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Edit - I've just re-read your post; you want it to go off automatically when your notebook powers down? I've never seen a wireless mouse do that, some of them go to sleep if you leave them motionless for a while but never 'off'. How would it switch itself back on if it was off?
