I really want a pair of good headphones the ones that came with my new iPod suck!

I want something that will stay in my ears while running both on flat roads and on hiking trails so a lot of turbulence.

This is what I am looking at right now I like the in ear canal style and they have good reviews.

Don't want to spend much more than $400

Aw heck, $400, try 20. I went on a hunt last year for the best set/money ratio and found Phillips makes some great, yet odd shaped, earbuds. Best bass/treble I have ever heard sub $200. You even get to choose from black or white :) People complain about their comfort, and if not abused the ear rings do not come off and they feel just fine. I game so I wear them for hours on end with no discomfort or wiggle.

400? SE530's from Shure. Or if your willing to double your price range, get some UE11.

Shure products are legendary (I am an owner of their products) and if your going to dish out the cash on the se420s just go right ot the 530s. The second you enter the 420 catagory jump up since that is where the real difference is.

I would recommend if you can hold off and wait then. I have tried both and personally was stunned. I cheaped out and bought the 210s since there was no difference for me between those and the 320s. If you dont want to wait I would say the quality is still stunning and worth every penny

I would recommend the Etymotic ER4 they are $300 but they are amazingly good. They are very comfortable in the ear and they come with three different types of eartips and replacement filters.

I bought the ER6i for $64 on amazon they retail for $150...they provide excellent definition...that said if you listen to things with a lot of bass you will probably want to go with the ER4.

are you looking for headphone or earphone?
if earphone, get either Ultimate Ears triple.fi 10 Pro or Shure SE530, they both have 3 drives.

go for the 530s on amazon, you can get them for like 450 or less there.

shures are really nice, but they just have to work on the wiring. good thing they have good customer service, or so i heard

I was thinking about the Triple.fi 10s, but decided to go with the Super.fi 5 Pros. So far, they seem great. For me, the extra driver wouldn't be worth the 150 or 200 bucks that it would cost, at least for now. I've been researching around for about a year, and finally decided on these. Good decision, it seems.

I've been using the Shure 530se for a few months and the sound is absolutely amazing! The only thing I dislike about it is how it fits inside your ear canal which can cause discomfort for some.
