Is there any out there?! What can fit a 18.4" screen? All I want is one with a handle and fit some extra stuff in it, the powerbrick would be nice to fit in...

I just purchased an HDX18t and was looking at the Pelican line as they are nearly indestructible and waterproof. At first I was thrilled to see the 1495 as the interior dimensions show it would be a great fit for this notebook. The problem is I really don't want to have to carry the power block/cord and wireless mouse separately.

I then looked to see what case would be deep enough to place accessories underneath and came across the 1520. It's a hair smaller but nearly three inches deeper. This way you can cut spots in the foam for accessories underneath the laptop. The 1520 only gives approximately .75" of room for padding at the top and bottom and .4" on the ends of the notebook.

I don't know first hand, but I think that may be cutting it a bit close. The 1550 allows for 1.3" on each end and .6" along the top and bottom. It's also nearly an inch deeper which I think is overkill for this purpose, but not a deal breaker for me.

If just over half an inch of foam isn't enough padding for your comfort, the 1560 leaves PLENTY of room on the edges (2" on each side and 1.7" on the top and bottom). It is also 9" deep and weighs 20lbs. At this point we're getting big enough that they're adding rollers. Personally, I don't want to carry over 30lbs or have to roll my laptop around.

I think I'm going to end up ordering the 1550 as it has plenty of room for accessories but is not yet big enough that it warrants rollers. The half inch of foam at the top and bottom edges may be skimping, but I am not planning on tossing this thing around.

EDIT: I ended up buying the Mobile Edge MEV17S from Amazon.com for $48 as it seems everyone who's gotten it for use with the HDX18t have nothing but good things to say.

Targus 17 XL from Amazon for ~50
20" HP Roller bag from HP ~100 designed for the original HDX 20" Screen.

I went for the 20" bag from HP since it is more like a suitcase with wheels, I cannot imagine lugging a heavy laptop and accessories through huge airports on my back, I prefer a roller bag.
