I just got my first webcam, a Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro. I am having a terrible time. My computer suddenly restarts itself while using the camera or simply freezes. After it restarts itself I get a windows error message suggesting a driver conflict problem. I bought the camera to keep in touch with family and friends at home and around the world. The sound was awful...they could not understand what I was saying and I could not understand what they were saying due to poor connection or audio. Too much static and noise. I chose the canceling eco option and the audio seemed to improve. I have not find a way to save my sound settings, so everytime I make a call I have to configure or use the audio wizard. I really need help.

if you're talking about the new one that clips onto the lid of your laptop then I have the same one and am very impressed with the video and sound quality. Perhaps there's a driver conflict w/ something else installed on your laptop. I would try a complete reinstall of the driver and software first to see if it solves anything. I find logitech tech support to be very helpful as well, give them all if you don't get the assistance you need here.
