Has anybody used one of those new Laser mice that Logitech touts as super nice? It did excessively well in the reviews, but I want actual user experiences.

Toshiba Hard Drive (40GB 5400rpm) finally blew on my 2.5 year old Compaq 2800T.

I used the mx1000 and it's nice, but no Bluetooth kills the deal for me.

I have the mx1000 and I love it. I use it for my desktop though.

I just bought the mx1000 for my desktop as well and I'm loving it. It's larger/bulkier than my last optical mouse but the wireless and laser tracking are very nice. I use my mouse on a faux woodgrain pattern and my last mouse would jump (the cursor) across the screen every so often. The mx1000 has done perfectly all day.
I also bought the Logitech v500 mouse for my laptop and it seems to work really well too. It's small but seems to track well on the woodgrain. -
I bought the mx1000 to replace the mx700 (on my desktop) that had a dying internal battery. The mx1000 is quite a bit better than the mx700, the style, comfort and extra buttons are about as perfect as a mouse get IMO ATM. The tracking on it is incredible. I started playing Doom3 and HL2 with the mx700 and after switching to the mx1000, I can't believe I even played with the 700. The control is just incredibly precise.

I just picked up both the Logitech MX510 and Mx1000. For both notebook and desktop platforms, I am leaning towards the MX1000.
I was looking for a new mouse to play FPS games. Both are excellent. However the MX1000 fits so comfortably in my hand and I am partial to cordless. I like the internal battery and charger/receiver base.
When playing games I set my rig on a LapCool2 cooling pad, which has 4 usb ports. So having to plug in an additional base station is of no concern.
I have been using a Bluetake BT500 bluetooth mouse and Logitech cordless optical mouse. The MX1000 is far superior to either one. With all of the extra buttons, the MX1000 simply rocks.
Hmm . . . I think the MX510 is going back. LOL . . . My wifes says, "Pick one!"
