Just thought I'd point that out, since I've been hand-lock-up free since I've received it. No more shaking hands, or anything.

    Worth the 100$ IMO

    :)

you can also get the g9 for about $40 :) same mouse just 3200dpi instead of 5000 lol...if you use 5000 dpi you have more to worry about than carpel tunnel syndrome lol\

but yeah it is a great mouse, ive owned 1 (actually 2) in the past 2 years or so

I had pretty bad wrist pains using a Logitech MX1000 for a couple of years then changing to a G5 with no effect. Ever since I changed to the G9 everything's been perfect :D

I saw a website where I can get the Logitech G9x for $44 but it is recertified.. also it says it ships in a non-retail package i.e. it doesn't come in the original box.. would it be wise to purchase that?? It comes with a 30 days warranty so does that mean that if there is any problem with the product I can get a replacement?

If anything goes wrong within those 30 days, then yes, you can get it replaced.

I have 2 G9's. One for my laptop and one for the desktop. The wide body grip definitely fits my hand well and doesn't cause any stress.

I also bought a Razer Mamba that's arriving tomorrow. I want to check out how that mouse compares to the G9 ergonomically. If I don't like it, I'll end up selling it.

Weirdly, while I have no hand issues, my clicking finger starts hurting if I switch to the G9/G9X as my 'everyday'.

I went from the G9 to the Razer DeathAdder last year, and I haven't looked back (the DeathAdder has the same shape as the Mamba, just not wireless). I find it more comfortable than any of the G9 grips, particularly if you have larger hands.

Agree with this, it's probably because the G9 is more of a finger-type mouse than a hand one. My G500 is fantastic for both gaming and everyday though, gotta love that classic shape.

    To reply to a question:
I used to use a wireless 60$ logitech mouse. After 1-2 hour of surfing my hand just shakes/twitches ...it's an awful feeling. Makes me feel like I'm a 70 year old man full of health issues (I'm 26) lol.

I studied alot of mice and overall the G9X came out on top due to my large hands.

This is also an interesting fact: Mice who are bulgy (stick out/wrap like a baseball) contribute more to carpel tunnel/future health problems than a flat/large mouse.

I can agree with that. When I use big 'bulbous' mice like the mx518 or Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 my hand hurts when gaming. When I use smaller mice that you can claw grip I don't feel any pain.

My biggest beef with the g9/g9x is how it rattles when you use the wide load shell. The fit is not snug enough. :(

I stumbled upon it when I was furiously seeking and comparing mice. If I remember correctly, it was a Euro medical news report. Basically a mouse that portions your hand straight is a healthier way to surf and game. Those who make your hand bulge out are vile poison that will hurt you down the road.

I can't even use school computer lab mice (I plug my own) b/c my hand hurts so much after just thirty minutes of surfing. They should outlaw those cheap mice IMO or at least convert all educational facilities with flat mice like the G9X and others like it.

I'd hit the G9 and never quit. Seriously, the G9 is a terrific mouse. For those with larger hands or those that palm their mice the G9 (or G9x) is a godsend. The interchangeable grips make a huge difference in ergonomics versus other highly touted products already discussed in this thread.
