What exactly doesn't work? The subwoofer, or one satellite speaker, or both, or all three?

Okay, so on one of your Z-2300 sets, your subwoofer works but the satellite speakers don't, correct?

What happens if you plug the satellite speakers from your fully working set into the other subwoofer? If the satellites still work, then you've narrowed it down to bad satellite speakers for that set. If the other satellites don't work either, then something's wrong with the connection in the subwoofer.

If it's just bad satellite speakers, you're in luck; there are people selling just the satellites on eBay:

Conversely, if it's the subwoofer connections at fault, you can buy just the subwoofer:

I'm no speaker expert, but from the symptoms you're describing, it sounds like the satellites are just dead.

Could have a bad connection on coils on the speaker. I personally would take them apart and solder a new wire on them, but if they're under warranty then most should go with that route.

I don't think it can be soldered, it's most likely the coil inside the speaker at fault not the terminals or the lead wires. The wire got cut because of high excursion caused by playing the system too loud. Blame Logitech for not putting a high pass filter on the sats. This would have prevented the low frequencies from entering the small satellite speakers, therefore lower the movement of the cone and prevent breaking.

Like said above, if you have a warranty, use it.

If its out of warranty, I'd yank it apart regardless and see whats up. But then again, I'm the type that uses a dremel(or grinder, depending on size of project) daily. ;)

Does it have a 90 day warranty?
