I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, and if not please let me know, but I just bought a new clevo p150hm and now I'm planning on giving my old toshiba to my girl friend. The problem is that a year ago i had to replace the monitor cable and Stripped several screws and never replaced them. And now I need to find some replacement screws and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a box of various sized laptop screws?

    Thanks in advance,

Most of them have weird size that it is hard to find at times beyond buying from the OEM. I'd suggest taking some of them to a local hardware shop and see if they can closely match to the stripped screw sizes. I do know that some laptop manufacturers are kind enough to label next to the screw holes what kind of thread and size the screws are. However, there would be at times you will end up having screws with a weird non-standard size.

Best bet is to give the local hardware shop a try and see if you can get the most similar equivalents that you can. Worst case is to call Toshiba and ask to buy some spares, albeit that can be expensive or even unable to even acquire from them directly.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll do that Toshiba will be a last resort, as they are notorious for price gouging their parts.

You could try having a look on eBay to see if they have any screw sets for your laptop model or any specific spare/repair parts on the cheap.

If you have a small mom and pop computer shop in your area, that might be a good resource. I stripped a couple screws out of my old MSI notebook, went to a small place around the corner from my office, and they provided about half a dozen replacements for free. Most were of different sizes, but I managed to cobble together enough to do what I needed.
