Hi, I am looking an item or special type of battery that can give a laptop a boost or a tilt on the bottom of the laptop on or near the battery. I tried googling but it wasnt much of a help. Thanks.

No need to spend lots money on something like that, just use some erasers or a stack or post-it notes. Works just as well, easy and cheap to acquire. :D

I have a nice book that's cheaper than some special tools, my fan is on the bottom so i have the book to raise it up w/o covering the fan.Temperatures are substantially lower now.

Virtually any extended-life batteries does this by design. You just need to search for an extended-life battery that fits your laptop.

I used a little aluminum tin and a foam tube that sort of clips around the back of my notebook.

    I love my balls

cool balls that is - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2609

I dont use them on my G73 as it actually is built with a nice tilt in it already but my W90 I used these and it made typing much easier, the cool balls were the idea solution. Instead of a big expensive cooler or dock type thing just these two little weightless plastic balls would attach to the back. The velcro holds them in place but lets you take them off easy when its time to put the laptop back in the bag, I also really like how I could lift the front of the laptop and then slide it across the desk or reposition it due to the low friction of the cool balls, but the laptop would never move unless you wanted it too so its not a problem not having something like rubber feet.

Um wouldnt that be OFF topic? and my post actually ON topic?

But your idea is not new, I used it also to make a dual level wii sensor bar holder

One is the default one wired to the wii, the other one is a wireless one I used for when I used the wiimote to play PC games with the Wii off.

But isnt saying you have no comment count as having a comment, so isnt that in theory an impossible statement to make?

Somebody would have to say it on your behalf.

    :D

You can also use one of those little triangular engineer's rulers. Those work just fine for me :p
