Laptop being cooled: Alienware M11x
Available at my local Fry's:
Coolermaster Notepal X-Lite ($19.99)
Coolermaster Notepal X2 ($29.99)
Thermaltake Massive23 ST($29.99)
Must Purchase from Amazon/Newegg:
Thermaltake Massive23 LX($26.99)
Which would you pick? Is there any reason to choose the TT Massive23 ST over the LX? (Does it cool better than the LX?)
My local Fry's got a new shipment of Laptop coolers ranging from a variety of brands, including the notable Coolermaster Storm. My laptop is small though, and I saw the CM X-lite and thought that it would be a good deal. Then I considered the CM X2 because it was only $10 more for a little extra features. When I decided to purchase it, Fry's had run out of stock and wouldn't be receiving a new shipment for two weeks.
I then checked out the TT 23ST, but was hesitant because of the bottom design (plastic). The next day I got a chance to inspect it and it didn't appear to be as bad. However, I had also known about the TT 23LX on amazon but didn't consider it because of the incorrect Amazon dimensions (I didn't realize the correct dimensions until I checked TT's website. I thought it would be too big for my laptop).
Now that I know the TT 23LX is about the same size as the TT23ST for the same price with an extra USB port and buttons to control the fan/lights similar to the CM X2, I am debating if I should purchase the TT 23ST at my Fry's, or order the TT 23LX off amazon. Is there any reason why I should consider the TT 23ST over the TT 23LX?
