I am off to college here in about a month, and am in the market for a good, reliable KVM switch. As most of you know, in a dorm room space is at a premium. I will be bringing my desktop computer and also my laptop. I know that I will not have nearly enough room for a 19'' monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and my laptop.

I figure that my best bet to consolidate space would be going with a KVM switch. What I am looking for is a two port KVM switch that supports a USB keyboard and mouse, VGA monitor, and audio support(not necessary, but a big plus).

It is a long shot, but I was also wondering if it supported USB, that it would support a wireless desktop (keyboard and mouse).

I needed the exact same thing (except without wireless support). So I went ahead and ordered this switch.

I should be getting it on Wednesday, though my laptop probably won't be here for at least a week after that.

Let me how that turns out for you. Based on the specifications, and the one review there, it looks like what I am after.

I don't know if it's a problem iwth my specific kvm or not, but I know when I use my logitech MX3100 wireless desktop set, I lose all my custom settings on my mouse. drives me nuts.

I received the switch yesterday. Took me a bit to get it set up properly, as the documentation stinks. I had to plug my Xbox 360 directly into the switch as the VGA adapters are all male connections plugging into the female switches on the KVM box. But it works just fine, including the audio. Video quality isn't terrible, but it's certainly not as good on my PC as the DVI connection.
