I think this is the correct subforum for this, if it isnt please feel free to inform me as to where it should go

So im going on a 23-25 hour car trip here soon, and wont be driving much, but would like to have something to keep me entertained... what i was thinking of is buying a portable dvd player, but than i started thinking, why dont i just use my laptop for watching movies etc, but of course my battery will never last that long...

Is there an kind of car adapter that anyone knows of that i can use to plug my laptop into the car cigarette lighter outlet thing, so i can run my laptop in the car?

Also is there a way to convert only 1 headphone jack into 2 ... maybe a splitter of some sort?

ive been searching futureshop.ca (living in canada) but havent been able to uncover anything

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Thank you everyone

I can't really help you with the car adapter but I know that headphone splitters are certainly available, I'll look up where I found mine.

Look up "power inverter" for the power. It is an adapter to make the cigarette lighter an AC outlet.

Look up headphone splitter on newegg for the headphone.

I would link you, but I don't have enough posts.

You can pick up a headphonce splitter cheap ($4). I use mine every day.

Look on amazon or the dell web site they will have what you are looking for.

You can buy an adapter that plugs into a cigaret lighter that is an electrical plug-in like on a wall, then just use your battery charger. thats what I use. And you could probobly get away with using the sound on your computer.
