Well I'm going to be getting an M1330 to replace my crapped out E1705. I'd like to pick up an external LCD so that I don't have to do all my photo editing on that little screen. However I don't shop for monitors much so I'm open to suggestions. I'm looking for as much room as possible (highest resolution possible) for the a good price. I spent a lot of my funds on the lappy so to put it bluntly, the cheaper the better. I'm looking for the best bang for a cheap buck. I don't want to dump too much into it because it isn't absolutely VITAL or anything.

I'd personally suggest a Dell monitor. For professional editing the 2007WFP or 2407WFP are good (though a tad expensive), but if you don't need that much 'accuracy' (not that there is a large difference) there are budget versions of both monitors.

Not looking for quality to be honest, looking for cheap, haha. Response time and accuracy aren't a big deal, just decent color and finding the highest resolution I can for the best price. I've been looking at all the brands but can anyone suggest anything more specific, or where? The only place I've looked is newegg. This only needs to last me a few months, I'd actually pick up a nice CTR if I had the space just because that would be easier, but...don't have the space, haha. Quick, dirty, cheap is what I need right now....haha, I'd make a joke out of that, but I'll be a little more tactful than that, plus we all know what I'm talking about :p

I'd LIKE 20 inch, but I can deal with 19 if its cheaper. I'm TRYING to stay as close as I can to the 150 dollar mark.

Yeah, probably, are you interested? It needs a new battery, that is all.

If colour reproduction is important, you sure need a S-IPS display.

Well, Black Friday is coming up, and I know that on Black Friday of 2006, Best Buy and Circuit City were selling 19" wide Samsung monitors for around $130... supposedly Samsung is one of the higher-quality brands out there when it comes to monitors... All newer Samsung monitors have an advertised response time of 2ms.

So, if you can wait a little less than a month, you could find a really good deal on black friday (or other holiday sales)!

how about going for viewsonic, samsung also is a very good choice. You may be looking at it as a few months of use but still its an investment for your part so why not stick with the LCD than buying a CRT later? LCD has more pros than the CRT units.
