OK, my wireless mouse got submerged in water for about 20 sec max, and the optical light is working, but its like just not getting the signal to the usb thingy.......it was a $30 microsoft mouse so i don't want to lose it.

i dis-assembled it as far as i could and am leaving it to dry, is this all i can do?

He probably dumped it in some water by mistake - it happens ;) Anyways, take out the batteries and let the mouse dry. After its done drying, put in a fresh set of betteries and see if it works.

Well...I'm not sure if it is going to work again. I would follow AMDvsIntel's advice, and let it sit out and dry. 12 hours or so would be a reasonable timeframe.

well, idk if i harmed it more.....but i threw a batt. in and tried to see if it would work, then i turned it off and back on and it won't turn on again......idk if it just got fried from the batt. since i didn't let it dry long enough or what.......

Best thing is not to put in battery until it's dried out. If you put in battery now, you'll risk shorting out your mouse and burn out something. I did the same for my phone once or twice. It's still working pretty decently.
