Hello all
I have a HP pavilion tx2000 laptop and I recently bought the quickdock station.
I wanted to attach a mike to the station but the computer cannot hear me when I speak while the mike is attached there. Everything else on the quickdock works fine. If i attach the mike to the front port of the laptop (not the quickdock) it hears me fine, so it's not a problem with the mike. If i go to control panel -> sounds -> Recording devices it shows two mikes. The first has the jack name: "ATAPI internal ATAPI jack" and this is the built in microphone of the laptop. The second has the jack name: Front panel 3.5mm jack and this is the jack built into the microphone. How do I get the third jack which is on the quickdock station itself?
Thank you so much for any help at all in advance.
EDIT: I've tried restarting many times, that doesn't solve it.

Uh...anybody? please?

Sounds like the jack is dead.
Mine seems to work okay, though i can hear abit of static compared to the notebooks front jack. Could be a poor weld
Have you tried other microphones? -
even mine built in mic never worked from day 1.
anyway i hardly use inbuilt soundcard. so doesnt matter to me
