    Hi all,

I reformatted my computer a few days ago and have succesfully reinstalled most of what I need. The main thing I'm now missing is to do with my Razer Diamondback 3G mouse, which I use for gaming.

The software which came with the mouse is in my parent's house, several hundred miles away, and frankly could be anywhere. No guarantees of being able to find it, really.

I'm having trouble with the mouse now, as I can't adjust the sensitivity settings or remap the buttons, without using the Razer config menu - and I can't get that without the software! Well I can...sort of. I copied my Razer folder from Program Files to my external hard drive, then back to my computer after it was formatted, and can open the config menu from there. However adjusting the settings does nothing to the mouse, and I can't get into the config menu after I close the link to the external drive, even though I copied the entire Razer folder onto the computer again (I never really thought it would work, but I did try it just in case).

Anyway, does anyone know if it's a simple case of reinstalling the drivers, or do I have to jump through several hoops to get the configuration menu back?

    Thanks guys.

You should just reinstall the drivers. Should be available from the Razer Support site. This should be the correct link.

Thanks! I'll give it a try when I get home.

Edit: Forgot to mention that Office is the one other thing which didn't carry over from the reformat (if anyone knows where to get a working version of Office '03 it would be appreciated; I have the CD-key but not the CD!), so I can't open the PDF of the Master Guide. I know these questionds would be answered on there but...

    1) Where should I put the driver once it's installed? Atm I'm putting it in Program Files > Razer > Diamondback 3G. Should I put it in Prgram Files > Razer > Diamondback 3G > Driver? There's also a 'Driver 64' file I could put it in.

    2) In the 'Driver' file there's a 'DPInst' programme. When I opened it it gave me a blue screen of death; is it something I should use, maybe when I put the driver in the 'Driver' folder?

Sorry for the noob questions, I'm not exactly a technical whizz when it comes to drivers.

P.S. After trying to use the DPInst programme the mouse has now completely stopped working.

Ok, typed all that for no reason - I downloaded the driver to the Driver folder, used the DPInst programme again and now it's working :) The only problem is that I can now only access the Config menu (button mapping, sensitivity etc) from my external hard drive! On the other hand, it IS working.

To view the pdf manual, install foxit reader or use http://www.pdfmenot.com/.

As for office, you will need the CD for that. You cannot just download it online. You can use Open office if you really need to work on something.

uninstall everything related to the Razer mouse, and re-install using what you downloaded. This should resolve all the conflicts you have regarding the location of the configuration app.
