    Hi
I bought a second hand laptopon ebay Dell Latitude CP. I only have dial up internet and I bought a second hand PCMCIA Xircom Ethernet10/100+Modem56 card.
I put it in the card slot and (I had previously configered my internet connection) hit connect and it said your modem or other connecting device is not working.
There was no softwear with the card and I can't connect to download any drivers if it needed them.
Does this mean that the card is no good?
I realy don't know what I am doing I thought I would just put the card in and everything would work.
    What am I doing wrong.
    Help
