Looking for a headset/headphones for my laptop. I want something good but not stupid expensive. I'm thinking around $60-$80CAD.

I'd prefer something non-USB, but if anyone can recommend something good I'd appreciate it.

How does that compare to Astro A40?

The A40 is about three times the OP's budget and the vengeance 1300 is right within budget. Haven't tried the A40, so i couldn't really compare them, but if i were to drop that much on a headset, i'd rather buy a pair of good headphones like the Shure 840/HD280 and a stand alone mic that isn't too expensive.

I've got to second the Head-Fi.org recomendation. I've been a member there for years. Will give you a warning though, I started out with a $100 set of headphones, and have recently upgraded to a $450 pair of earphones. Worth EVERY PENNY but you might get hooked :p

What about the ARCTIC P301? It's only $25 and is not bad at all. I'm using it right now for music and skype. :p
