    Hard Case Notebook Sleeve?

    I've got a soft foam notebook case for my laptop (google the Incase Apple 15.4" Sleeve) but I'm looking for one with a little more protection when it's in my backpack.

    I know they have those hard/rugged briefcases, but that's too big. Does anyone know if they make thinner and more form fitting hard cases for laptops?

    i don't know about anything hard, but sumdex makes some hard foam sleeves with handles. they're pretty nifty but hard to find. i have a 14" that i put my laptop in, then i put it in a 15" case logic neoprene sleeve.

    Alright you two: do you guys have any idea how much abuse a notebook can take when it is in one of those cases?

    the one i mentioned could probably easily survive a "drop" of about 2-3 on carpet. concrete would probably lessen that to about a foot. the sumdex sleeve i'm sure handles nicely in a backpack and lots of walking. part of the reason i like the sumdex so much is for me it's pretty adequate protection and i don't have a padded backpack/bag/case advertising i have a laptop on my person.
