I just got a new HP DV6t with two batteries, one 6 and one 9 cell. I figured I'd carry the spare in a bag in case I need some extra juice while moving around campus next year. However, it still hasn't occurred to me how I might charge said spare battery without having it hooked up to the computer.

EDIT: Aside from external charging, is there recommendation on how to alternate the two batteries for max efficiency/battery life/longevity?

Yea i think popping it in and charging it is the only way. They dont make external chargers as far as I know.

The only batteries I know of that have external jacks are the ones from the business machines. You'll have to use the laptop to charge it.
