I am trying to decied between two 20" lcds, they are:

    20" SyncMaster

    HDCP support

    # Pixel pitch: 0.258
    # Brightness: 300 cd/m2
    # Contrast ratio: 700:1
    # Response time: 6ms
    # Interface: Analog/Digital
    # Maximum resolution: 1680 x 1050
    # Color supported: 16.7 million

    and

    Sceptre 20"

    # Resolution: 1680 x 1050
    # Pixel Pitch: 0.25mm
    # Brightness: 300nit cd/m²

    Hi Penguin,

Do be careful about HDCP support. When I was shopping around for LCD panels about 4 months ago, just about MOST of the brands had HDCP support in their brochures.

They've quietly removed them now. (Apparently, the marketing guys thought HDCP means HD support.)

But they've protected themselves in the disclaimer. (Our specs can change anytime yada yada)

When I called them, most of them have absolutely no idea what HDCP means.

Check with the people you're buying it from to ensure you're getting HDCP support and which version.

Best of luck with your upcoming purchases...
