Anything by Sennheiser or plantronic. Icemat Siberias are also very nice but quite pricey.

Cons: Durability is questionable. They are prone to breaking more often than not. Trust me i had over 40 pairs of these (operate a LAN center)

Cons: Mic cover comes off too easily, wish cord was strengthened

Cons: I read that it's prone to breaking after a year; I'll see when the time comes but for right now there's nothing bad I can say about it.

Cons: Other than the bass, they sound terrible. Especially bad for gaming. THE CHEAP, THIN CORD broke the second day I had them with no abuse. Wire just slipped out.

Cons: every year i have to buy a new pair due to a wire breaking inside the cord... Its a big pain and over the years I must have bought 5 i could have bought one nice pair but that would break is some way or another so th

That's some of the bad things people have said about them and most of them stay consistant and say the cord is breaking. Even the one's that say that about the headset still give it a good review most of them gave it a 4-5 star rating even though due to it's bad cord strength. They are cheap so easily replaceable. If they last a year and you're a heavy gamer then you've already got your money's worth. I'd buy them... but I"m cheap lol.

The other people on this forum may be able to recommend some better headsets so I'd wait and see what they have to say.

How much are you willing to spend? I have a $40 Sennheiser PC150 headset and it works well. However it is not that durable the cord is way too long.

I'm always partial to decent headphones (although my headphones are trash) and either a clip-on mic, or a desktop mic. I hate having the mic in front of my face.

I've had the same cheap $10 desktop mic for years, and it still gives better quality than most headsets I've tried. Plus, I can still drink while at the computer :D
