Hi. I have a packard bell mv86-003 laptop with a 4800mah 6-cell battery. If i use a program like NHC or mobilemeter, they say that the manufacturer of my battery is''generic''. What does this mean/

    Sorry for the noobish question

Either the company who built the battery never digitally named the manufacturer, or a third-party manufacturer built the battery. As long as it works fine, you shouldn't be worried.

OK, thanks. I have it for 4 months now and only used it about 6 times. NHC indicates a wear level of 0% :D

I got about 2 hours while playing starcraft with the headphones and the mouse.
