After spending hours searching for the perfect case for my Dell 710m, I think I found it, and thought I'd share.

Just placed an order for TekStyl's Omni. Here are a few of the perks:

-Slim enough (2") for a slip case, but has removable shoulder strap
-Velcro flap creates ergomonic riser to lift back of base base 1.5"
-Converts from clamshell "work-in" (access all sides, ports, etc) case to top-open
-Uses quick-release straps to prevent laptop from sliding inside
-Has hard sides to withstand 100lbs pressure & prevent crush damage in backpacks
    -Nice color combos
-Small Omni's specs seem to be made for 710m -- unlike most 12" cases suited for Apples.
    -15" also availible

So, seems for half an inch larger external dimensions and 6 ounces weight vs. slipcases like Shinza's, it's a pretty sweet deal.

Only negative I've read is that strap (which you could replace) isn't padded.

For $39.99 total ( eBags has same price as TekStyl, but free S&H), I'm pretty excited about the 2-in-1...

I'll post again when I get it, but current online reviews are glowing....

Just got it & its great... Zipper's tricky around the corners, but I'm hoping the fabric loosens up. Other than that, perfect.

Does this bag really seem to be able to resist 100lbs of pressure?
