Is there any flat keyed laptop lock other than the horrendously expensive Microsaver DS? I don't want a round-keyed one after seeing all the videos of how easy it is to circumvent it inconspicuously and I don't want an combo lock because my fat fingers and bitten-off fingernails don't operate the combo very well.
Do I have any options other than the DS?

The only other thing I have ever seen that uses a flat key is the:

The thing though, is that 'flat' keys really aren’t very hard to open. You can buy jigsaw blades for $0.50 and then file them into a lock pick which with a little training can open most locks. Also, don't forget that these are all held on by small cables. A decent sized mutli-tool with a hard-cable cutter could probably get through one of these in 30 seconds to a minute. These are about discouraging someone who can swipe it by walking by, nothing more. Thats enough to stop 99% of people who have never thought about lock-picking. If you pick up any decent brand you will probably be fine.
P.S. What are you trying to protect that $45 is 'horrendously expensive', but $30 will be fine? -
Yeah - it's true most standard flat keys are pretty simple to pick with a little practice but it's important to not that the Kensington isn't standard flat key. It uses a disc-key system which has pins in a all 4 corners making it much harder to pick.
