    Can anyone recommend a good external capture card that works well with Vista?

    It has to be external because I'd obviously be using it with my notebook.

    Good Brands
    Hauppauge, AutumnWave

    Bad Brands
    ATI, Pinnacle

    I can't really think of any others right now.
