Hi, I have a problem with our printer. It seems to print green bars across everything it prints (in colour) I have tried all the service things in the Epson menu to no avail.
What else should I be looking at?
I know it's old (ish) but I don't really use it that much at all, well, enough to warrant a new one anyway...

I'm assuming you ran it through the process of cleaning out the nozzles? (There should be an option somewhere where it says something similar in the options)

What about the ink cartirges? Are the new or old-er? Replacing them might fix the problem.

Did you also clean out the printer itself? Sometimes there can get crap clogged on the inside (I once pulled a big dust ball from an old printer we had once).

The cartridges are all new (albeit eBay cheapo ones!) I will try a different set in it and check for dust while I'm at it.

Did the nozzle cleaning process 5 times over just to be sure (lol)

Thanks for that, will report back when I get up :)

Right I just changed the cartridges but that has not helped...
I will try and give it a clean though it didn't look dusty inside.

Could it be some kind of colour convergence settings problem?

Just cleaned it out and still, nothing :(

    It's weird because there is:
    Black
    Blue
    Red &
Yellow inks so the blue and yellow are mixing to make the green bars...

Doesn't matter what I print, the green is always there. There is even the odd green tinge to paper when I select black only...

    Hmm, that's really weird.

Did you swap out the cartridges too?

It sounds like there might be something wrong with the heads of the sprayer (maybe they are bent or have a leak).

Pretty much all I can recommend is to either take the printer back (if it's still under warranty), or maybe find a store than can repair it.

Or maybe buy a new one? Economy's bad right now I know, but there are some out there that aren't to expensive.
