I don't want a fanboy war here, because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't regret either purchase. I was just curious to know if people valued the screen on the G15 more than the multimedia buttons and additional hotkeys on the Eclipse. Also, how do the backlights stack up?
Thanks a lot,
Batman

Look's like the consenus on that thread thus far is the SE3~!
No fanboy wars at all...Just good discussion on some great electronic gadgets/accessories!

Yeah, I had just read that thread before posting this one - I thought, "well, my question has to do with the specifics of the G15, so this thread doesn't answer it, and heck, that's what the point of a forum is, right? Ask questions?"
I game, but I also enjoy writing, so I plan to type a lot as well... I'm just all-around a power computer user: gaming (CS:S competitively and everything else for fun), arranging music, graphics and modeling (architecture major), text (writing enthusiast).
My current peripherals are a Logitech mx518 and Creative Fatal1ty headphones. My question becomes PARTICULARLY relevant when considering that I'm thinking of picking up a Nostromo n52te... the keyboard suddenly stops being so important for games. Is the info screen of the G15 an invaluable asset to a dude with one hand on his Nostromo and another on his mx518 while gaming? I kinda prefer the color, hotkeys and multimedia buttons of the Eclipse since the Nostromo is blue-lit, but those are all-in-all a series of gimmicks... logic says the screen on the G15 will actually be able to bring me valuable information.
If I'm wrong, please correct me! I get the feeling that typing on the Eclipse is preferable to typing on the G15 as well.
Thanks again!
