Take a look at the Cooling Central here at NBR.

Probably a little, but I would just get a good cooling pad and not waste my time on stuff like that which will have a limited range of compatible models.

I would use it on my cpu of my laptop when I get a x7800. Would it with a notebook cooler decrease the temps by at least 3*C or is there no way to tell. Right now my cpu does not need it.

That gadget does work, I modded one myself before it became commercial :D

But good elevation will cool any laptops just fine.

    cheers ...

I do elevate my laptop a good 1 inch. Do you think this will take off another 3*C possibly? I'm looking to use this more when I get an extreme cpu because my cpu now is fine and that is the only vent to have vertical slot holes.

You don't need so much elevation, I think. I found out that 1cm of elevation on the top side would do, creating a better air flow (&suction) underneath.

Never measure the temp, so hard to say about it. I just feel it :D

    cheers ...

I have my notebook sitting on a glass chopping board , glass is 4x as good at conducting heat than my wooden table so the air being pulled in by the fan is cooler, I managed to find the perfect size for my 17" for only £2

I just use my CD case to prop up the laptop on the back so I can't control the height.

Just ordered this. Going to see what it does to my cpu temps. Report back when I get it.

It should work but you would be better off getting a cooling pad which covers the whole chassis.
